Stable Diffusion

Stable Diffusion is a deep learning-based AI text-to-image generation model released in 2022. The model is mainly used to generate detailed images and illustrations conditioned on text descriptions. It was developed by the startup StabilityAI in collaboration with some academic researchers and non-profit organizations.

Stable Diffusion is a Latent Diffusion Model—a type of deep generative neural network. The code and model weights for Stable Diffusion have been publicly released and can run on most computer hardware equipped with a moderate GPU, whereas previous proprietary text-based graph models (such as DALL-E and Midjourney) were only accessible through cloud computing services.

1. DreamStudio version (officially released by StabilityAI)
2. Stable Diffusion XL (launched by ClipDrop, a brand under StabilityAI)
3. Stable Artisan (a Discord-based service launched by StabilityAI)
