Gemini is a generative artificial intelligence model series launched by Google, possessing powerful multimodal capabilities and able to handle various content such as text, images, and audio. It includes multiple versions, such as Gemini Pro, Gemini Flash, Gemini Ultra, and Gemini Nano, each suitable for scenarios with different complexity and efficiency requirements. Gemini features deep research capabilities, can integrate online information to generate professional reports, supports over 45 languages, has an extra-long context window, and can handle complex problems. It can connect with Google applications to automate operations, such as scheduling tasks according to the calendar. Gemini’s code assistance function provides code suggestions to help developers, and the “Gems” feature allows users to create their own AI experts, such as tutors or fitness coaches. Through real-time internet connectivity, Gemini can access the latest information on the internet, providing users with comprehensive and timely answers.

Gemini’s free interactive workspace, Canvas, has launched a new feature that allows users to quickly generate PowerPoint presentations with just a prompt or uploaded file. The generated slides automatically incorporate themes and relevant images and can be exported to Google Slides for editing and team collaboration. This feature is currently available to both personal and Workspace accounts.

• One-click PPT generation : A new feature from Canvas, allowing users to quickly generate PPTs with automatically matched themes and images using a prompt or uploaded file. It supports exporting to Google Slides for further editing and team collaboration.

How to use Gemini

• Access Google AI Studio :
  • Open the official link for Google AI Studio: https://aistudio.google.com.
  • Click “Sign in” in the bottom left corner of the page Sign inand log in with any Google account (Gmail account).
• Choosing to use the Gemini model :
  • After logging in, you can choose to use the Gemini model directly in Google AI Studio, or generate an API for use. Select your option Use Google AI Studioand click New Prompt.
• Google AI Studio user interface :
  • The interface is divided into three parts: left, middle, and right. The specific functions are as follows:
    • Project Name (Untitled prompt) : Located at the top of the interface, used to customize the name of the current Prompt project.
    • System Instructions : Provides optional tone and style instructions to define the context, tone, style, etc. of AI-generated content.
    • Chat input box (Type something) : Located at the bottom of the interface, this is where you enter questions or commands to interact with the model.
    • Model Selection : In the right-hand menu, you can select different Gemini models from the drop-down list and view the model’s details and token count.
    • Temperature : Located in the middle of the right-hand menu, adjust the randomness of the generated content using the slider.
    • Tools : Includes options such as Structured output, Code execution, Function calling, and Grounding, which can be enabled according to task requirements.
